“BOOK LOVERS’ FORUM”;
In July 2000 we started a new chapter- “Book lovers’ Forum”, as a library project. The idea is to bring together all those who are interested in reading. It has been observed that people put in lots of effort to maintain good health. “A sound mind in a sound body comprises good health” is accepted everywhere. There can be no better nutrition for the mind save reading of books. Having a passion and quest for reading is in itself a wonderful gift within a person can possess and enjoy throughout his life. So it would be a very thoughtful act of someone who has gained anything after reading a book, to share the same with others. ‘Book lovers’ forum caters to all who want to share knowledge and exchange views. The members meet once in a month and membership of the forum is open and free.

“Children’s Library”
Today’s generation has moved towards television and computer. Reading book has unfortunately, taken a back seat. To encourage children to be exposed to the pleasures of reading the library has inaugurated a Children Section in 2002. There are more than 450 children members and 3000 books in this children library. The library is being utilized by all the school children of the area. We organize different competitions among the children.

“Junior Book lovers’ forum”
Inspired by the Excess of our Book Lovers’ forum, we started a “Junior Book Lovers’ Forum” for students of 10 – 14 year age group. It has been a great success. Students from all schools of this area regularly participate in large numbers and every month two students present a book of their choice.

Other activities of the Library:

  1. Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmers are conducted regularly at the library for Bharuch District Doctors.
  2. Book fair every year.
  3. Vacation Programmes for students, competitions to enhance reading habit and interest to Library is held in every vacation.
